Shoop...USF does not control the local TV channels - this ain't the USSR.

It is on Press Pass, see the associated thread on this board.

press pass?

usf needs to put their games on free tv

it costs money to televise games, and it also takes a tv station to be willing to broadcast it.   if there isn't enough demand, they should not televise them... as much as I wish they would.

Another day, another hijacked thread.  Back to the topic at hand....There were a few games where the other team would get like three straight offensive boards against our front line.  I would be well pleased if Mr. Gransberry could put a stop to that crap.

Normal

Listening to the Robert McCullum Show, it seems as if those days are over my friend. He said that Gransberry brings a prescence inside and that basically this kid will get 8-9 rebounds a game by just standing there. He said he has offensive capability, and with time could develop, but right now hes a rebounding machine.

Mac also praised Jesus as the toughest guy on our team and the guy each and everyone would pick if they had to draft their own team, basically saying he'd be the lottery pick of the bunch.

RMC compared Chris Howard to Matt Grothe... a freshman that came in and learned the playbook inside and out and has the ability to lead the offense efficiently, even despite being a rs frosh.  He said no disrespect to Bozeman, as he's played great, but Howard's ability to run the offense is at a different level!

Whether you dislike it or not doesn't make it not true.

Catch 47 is not going to show a game that 100 people will watch.  Their advertisers will not pay for that.  And what the advertisers are willing to pay for, they will show.

The ONLY channel it could possibly show up on that USF has control over is the USF campus network, but then they really wouldn't have any advertising income from this, so it would be a tremendous expense to broadcast an away game when there is no demand.

The chicken will always come before the egg in this case.

We need to get a winning team out there, THEN we will get the support (kinda, tampa is still a bandwagon hoops area... no one cares that much), then we can get tv coverage.  It will never work the other way around, stupid or not.  Economics rules, not the feelings of some die hards.

Honestly, I think Catch 47 has done a horrendous job of televising all of USF sporting events, this year. So much so that I'm thinking of switching over to Verizon so that I can get NFL network. So far the only thing keeping me with Brighthouse is the hope that Catch 47 will actually step up to the plate and be more assertive with the USF programming. If this doesn't change within the year, I'll make the switch.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
