Local Transit in BHM

First of all, Birmingham does NOT have a great transit system, but it should work for most of you just trying to get from place to place downtown. Not always the most convenient in terms of times, but it may help some of you.  

There are DART Trolleys which run throughout alot of the more popular sites around downtown.  If you are interested in bus service outside of downtown, that's a different bus service than the DART, so just ask me.

They are only a quarter to ride, and here's what the DART looks like....

Here's a map of the route... to get you oriented (b/c the map is weird and small), the left part of the map is north, the right south, the top east, and the bottom west.  The Blue Line will be of use to most of you trying to get from the Sheraton Hotel area down to 5 Points.  And of course, you can get off and switch lines... so you could go from the green line to the blue line to the red line.  Pretty sure, however, that'd be a quarter each time.

The Schedule for the lines are as follows:

Blue Line - North/South

Monday-Thursday

10:00am - 5:30pm (Every 10 minutes)

5:30pm - 10:00pm (Every 20 minutes)

Friday

10:00am - 5:30pm (Every 10 minutes)

5:30pm - 12mid (Every 20 minutes)

Saturday

10:00am - 12mid (Every 20 minutes)

Sunday

10:00am - 9pm (Every 40 minutes)

Red Line - East/West

Monday-Sunday

9:00am - 5:00pm (every 30 minutes)

Green Line - Southside Loop

Monday-Thursday

11:00am - 2:00pm (Every 10 minutes)

2:00pm - 10:00pm (Every 20 minutes)

Friday-Saturday

11:00am - 2:00pm (Every 10 minutes)

2:00pm - 12mid  (Every 20 minutes)

Sunday

11:00am - 9pm

*Frequency every 20 minutes
