He (Mattis) also shot 100% from the floor. 8-8

Yeah, but he has no outside shot ....     ::)

For all we know he could have had 8 dunks. But yes, he is not nearly as weak from outside as some say he is.

Wow!  That is great.  I thought for sure we were going to blow this one.  Last time I was able to listen, we were down 33-27 and Mattis had played every minute and was looking tired.  What a run!  Great job guys! And the girls are leading Villanova 60-44 with a minute left.

Awesome, wtg Ladies... 1-0 in the big east!

He didn't have any shots outside of 5 feet, except the FT's.

Who cares, they all count!!  USF always has one of those guys who can jump like hell, but shoot worse...Hakim, Gary Alexander, Mattis, etc....should make them tight ends these days, give 'em a real athletic future.

GO MAC!!

Yeah that game was scary for a bit. I didn't get there till halftime due to a few setbacks, and we were down then. They had a foulout shortly into the second, but we still trailed for a bit there before regaining the lead and running away with it. Honestly, at times it felt like high school ball in a high school gymm. there was one string of turnovers that was ridiculous--straight out of the three stooges or something. We did get a few ridiculous blocks in, but I can't feel good with it being held that close for that long with a team that was DII last year.

Nice way to pick up a road win. Good job men and ladies.

I hope we can get the win Saturday. Potentially being 6-1 and then having Verdejo and Gransberry become eligible would be sweet.

Mattis is having a hell of a year. Any chance that he could go in the draft? Mattis can pretty much play anything from guard to power forward, but I think his size is his only hinderance at the NBA level. The kid can flat out defend and has a great nose for the basket; he reminds me of Grant Long.

Mattis probably won't be in the nba, even with a monster year.  He has SG size but, unless he develops his shooting, doesn't have the range for that position.  He is too thin for SF, and too short for SF or PF in the NBA.

His only hope is to become a solid shooter, probably overseas.  I hope i'm wrong.
