Message Board. Seems some ALMIGHTY REDNECK GATOR FANS called the tennis team out after they lost to Miami. WHat's even funnier is she dogs out other athletes at her school when she posts back! Girl... do yourself a favor and transfer from Farmer U. and play tennis for Gigi Fernandez and a school that fans support you, not treat you like has beens when times are rough! Another reason why being a Florida Gator sucks!

Upsets don't happen to teams that come in focused and ready to play. There is no excuse for them losing....what a disappointing effort!

Wow, i love after the lowest point in my athletic career i get to read ignorant peoples comments like that... not focused and ready to play? we could not have been more prepared or more focused, and if u were there, you maybe would've seen that effort had nothing to do with it... hands down the most heartbreaking moment i've had in years but let's just sit behind a computer and make rude comments about how much we suck- should make yourself feel better

it's also funny to read about alexis being "overrated" - she was in shock as much as anyone when she got ranked so high, and is as humble and realistic as anyone.... she doesn't let a few wins get to her head like the majority of athletes, especially at this school.

Come on Sheriff.  I dislike the Gators as much as anyone, but how many people did we average at our Bball games last year during a horrible season?  As ardent of a fan as you are I know you saw it, and I know it hurts you to see it just as much as it hurts me.  We have some die hards, but the majority of our fans are fairweather as well, and only come out when we are winning.  I grew up in NY and this was not the case with our teams up there.  people came out whether the Knicks won or lost. I believe that this phenomenon is a State of Florida thing.  People come down to FL and lose their loyalty and passion for many things.

Our fan attendance is definitely lacking, but rarely do you see our fans attack a player right after their performance. Now, down the road... ya... it happens... but not after losing a match that had the season written on it!

Beastie. You answered this yourself.  A lot of the people that live in Florida weren't born here, but moved here. They grew up watching other teams in other places.  A lot just root for the teams here because they are local, but there is not any deep seeded passion for the team.
