Seems I saw the ACC might not be able to fill a spot in the Champs Bowl...why not slide us in against the Big 12.  Sorry if i'm wrong...just flapping my gums..haven't checked it out in last few days.

The Champs Bowl gets the 4th ACC team, so there is no chance of not filling it.

Is there any chance of USF & fsu hooking up in mickey town?

No...the reason why the Champs Bowl pays out more than $2 Million per team now is their new agreement is between the ACC & Big 10.

I don't think the Big 10 or the ACC want to give up one a nice pay-day...and a week's vacation in Orlando.

The new ACC/Big 10 Agreement is much better than the old one which had the #7 Big 12 team traveling to Orlando...with very little fan base.

Here's more on the new date/time/agreement for the Champs Sports Bowl (first post-Christmas Champs Sports Bowl Game will take place on Dec 29, 8pm)

I am screwed if it is texas.... Come on B-HAM

Us too.  4people to fly is waaaay out of our budget.  B-HAM for us

Houston isn't as far as you think.  It's in east Texas not that far from the Tx/Louisiana border.  I'm guessing 15-16 hours drive time, maybe less.  Houston is also the 4th largest city in the country behind NY, LA and Chicago.  Anything and everything you could want to do is there.

Finances dictate that I can not attend either bowl.  :'(

Work dictates that I can not watch the Texas Bowl.  :-/

I would love to see the Bulls in B'ham, because then I could watch the game.

It's at 7 pm central, 8pm eastern time.  According to Yahoo Maps, it is 979 miles from Tampa to Houston.  That's about 14 hours of actual drive time at 70 mph without stopping.  So your looking at 15-16 hours with 1-2 hours worth of stops, depending on traffic.

Now THAT is a drive. I will probably not be able to go to either bowl, I am flying to Orlando on the 23rd and fly back on the 27th. Gotta work that Thursday, will be able to watch the game that night.

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
