They want to play them early so the loser can get back in the BCS race.  A loss early is always better than a loss late in the season

an all florida college football kick off would be big

for the next couple of years

the copy cat networks would than have an all california  and texas kick off

except there is no incentive for any network to pick up a UCF/USF game for national broadcast casue nobody would give a ****

I agree with having that sort of thing early in the season as opposed to the end, but the added sweetness of knocking an OOC in-state opponent to a lesser bowl or out of bowl contention with late-season win is something that will really drive passion between the schools.

USFbull83- nobody else wants to play on labor day at 4pm so at this point usf/ucf should step up and close deal

it is appropriate as a mini florida rivarly as an apetizer for the big rivalry
