Playing games and winning are fun, but USF Athletics has done so well in the past few crucial years that it feels like Christmas morning...

Remember when Paul Griffin got let go?...

Remember when we had all of those lawsuits?...

Remember when we were just happy to get into C-USA for football?...

Remember when we didn't have the cash for the facility?...

Remember all the rumors about Coach Leavitt leaving?...

Remember when we had Seth? He wanted to leave and it seemed like no one would take him, and worse was when he got an extension? Thanks again, Virgina Tech! (P.S.: Sorry Sheriff, nothing personal.)

And now, as sad as Mr. Selmon leaving for health reasons, we will be getting a new AD as USF marches forward into the Big East:

Remember when we were just happy to get into C-USA for football?...

This is really the amazing thing - if you think about how pissed we had to wait an extra 2 years to get into that league, and anybody who was too busy celebrating that would have got whiplash when they turned around to see we got into the Big East...truly amazing.

Griffin leaving opened the doors for LRS to be athletic director... not exactly a bad thing.  Both have been important on different levels and we wouldn't be where we are without either one!

Griffin may have been good and got a raw deal but elaborate how the future could be any realistically brighter.  LRS did an excellent job while he was in the driver seat.
