Nebraska will never be the top dog again in my opinion. Besides the in state talent and some other midwest states, who else would really want to go to Nebraska.  No offense to the state or the people of Nebraska, but it isnt a very appealing state aesthetically or weather wise.  

Oklahoma is so much more appealling right?  College football is all about coaching and recruiting.  Money helps both of these.  When you have an entire state behind one school and one team, there will be success sooner or later.

Every team traditional teams have dips in their level of competitiveness.  Michigan, Ohio State, USC, UCLA, UF, Miami, GA, Pitt and others have shown time periods of weakness.  They all seem to bounce back.  NE fans didn't like the direction of the program and Frank Solich lacked charisma and a confident aura so they wanted a change.

Neb will be back but not like they were.  The whole scope of college football has changed.

i don't buy it.

A school with that tradition will be a power again
