These local kids were like 10 years old when our Beloved BULLS had their debut in 1997. Many of these kids grew up wanting to be in a BULLS uniform. I really BULLieve that this will just be the beginning of a serious flow of talent to our Beloved BULLS.

the fact that usf is on this list let alone a leading

candidate tells me in some circles we are a player on the national stage. I hope we  gave the ship and we are working hard to get this guy we need the o line help

Yes, it is early, but some kids are ALREADY verballing to schools. Pitt just got a verbal from a top PA running back today.

It would greatly help OUR recruiting if we could get a couple of Top Florida players EARLY - especially a Top QB - as other such players would jump on the USF bandwagon. That's why we have already extended an offer to Carlton Hill. OTHER schools won't be waiting until after the season either.

USF is going to do real, real well this year in recruiting thanks to Carl Franks.  It wouldn't surprise me if we get an early commitment from some a top QB commit.  This year we've zeroed in much earlier, and are already in the top 2 on three.  Impossible to deny, even a decent year should push him our way.

Another positive is the talent in the Tampa Bay Area is exceptional this year.  USF could land 6-8 recruits from Tampa alone and walk away with a top 30 class!

Early verbals are nice but thinking about what you wrote reminded me that Pitt had several great early commits that ended up going elsewhere. Bad recruiting followup or whatever caused it-- to the fans it probably made a decent recruiting class look very bad.

Mike...The big reason for that was that these guys verballed before the whole blowup between the Big East and ACC and talk of the BE possibly losing its BCS status. Before all that happened Pitt was headed for a Top 10 recruiting class.

USF going into the BE helped with our recruiting, but even ours would have been better had recruits known early on that our BCS status would be maintained throughout their College careers. Now that has been decided and therefore we should expect all the BE schools to do better based on that fact alone.
