Are You Going to the TCU Game?

I live right off of I-10, and am looking for people who are driving to the TCU game this season.  I'm hoping to hook up with someone so that I don't have to drive my "heap" (just ask MikeG or Omni, they saw it at Southern Miss last year!)...

I am quite literally on the way to the game, with an exceptionally minimal pit stop.  I'll be posting this again later in the year, but am hoping to make some plans as early as possible!

I'll be going but will be going East to head to TCU. Moving to Arizona in July to join Bulliever as I start my life as an alumni while spreading USF love to ASU women in Tempe. Hope to chill with Smazza someday in LA... a Bulls reunion!

I am going, but unless I can drop a 35,000 foot long rope down to you, I will be of little help getting you to Dallas Fort Worth.    Can't wait for our revenge on the toads.  SHould be a great sports weekend in the dallas area.  USF, Texas Rangers vs Mariners, and hopefully Cowboys are home that sun.

Um, I think I'll be at the game. 8) You might be able to find a Southwest flight from Baton Rouge to Dallas if no one is able to drive you out here.

Bullman, the NFL schedules come out this afternoon, so we'll find out if the Cowboys are in town on the 26th. If you're interested and if the NHL season isn't delayed, the Stars may also be holding a preseason game that weekend.

SERIES HISTORY:  This will be the second meeting between the Bulls and the Horned Frogs.  TCU edged the Bulls 13-10 at Raymond James Stadium in 2003.  TCU announced a week ago that Head Coach Gary Patterson has agreed to a contract extension.  He is 27-11 and ranks 6th on the school's all time wins list after just three seasons.  TCU's out of conference schedule for 2004 includes Northwestern, SMU and Texas Tech all in the first three weeks of the season.  After that they play eight straight conference games.

ABOUT TCU:   Football began on the TCU campus in 1896.  By 1909, TCU was a member of the TIAA (Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association) before joining the Southwest Conference in 1923. By 1932 they were 10-0-1 and ranked #5 in the nation.  1935 brought a national championship as QB Sammy Baugh led the team to a Sugar Bowl win over LSU.  They won the national championship again in 1938.  After some success in the 40's and 50's, no national rankings were achieved between 1959 and 2000.  Former coaches include Dutch Meyer, Jim Wacker, Pat Sullivan, and Dennis Franchione.
