I like this move, unlike halloween last year it isn't like labor day is much of a "celebrated" holiday. Schools are out, most people are off work and it's early enough to make it home at a decent time if getting enough sleep is a concern. I just can't see the negative in going for the national attention in this particular case.

I will be dissapointed if we change the time, and I doubt it would improve attendance.  It just seems that as of now, USF football just isn't much of a draw in the Bay area.  I'm sure things will change with time, and nice wins over teams like Pitt and SC will help, but progress is in the future.  I expect we'll have about 30k seats sold for the game, and about 5 to 10k fewer in the stands.

It was hot enough at the spring game.  Just think of what it will be like in summer.  If they change things I'll still be there, but hey, I like the night games.

All the critics of the move need to put things in perspective.  We are a 7 year old program and ESPN is chosing us over 50+ other D 1 games to televise.  That says something.  Think back 7 years to when we got excited about playing Ga Southern or Western Ky.  We are now playing top teams and network tv wants to broadcast our games.  This is a big step up from radio only games on 1010 where you couldnt even get reception inside the stadium the game was being played in.    Gone are the days of Slippery Rock, Drake, Elon, and Liberty.  We are approaching big time and to complain about having a game moved so we can be on national tv is like complaining about the weather in Florida after a move from Antarctica.  You quickily forget where you came from, and how much better things are now.  Get over it, support your team now matter what day its on.  I am honored to have the invite.  Nobody works on Labor Day, and its an early game that will be over by 7:30, home by 9:00, asleep by 9:30.  Great night sleep dreaming about the awesome win on national tv.

ESPN ISn't choosing us out of 50+ other games

no other team would be so imprudent to play on moday at 4pm on labor day.it will have abysmal ratings.

when espn puts games on TV as scheduled than your talking but we are far from those days.we are a filler for them like  truck pulling.

what about the tradition of playing saturday night games?

if it is only about money,USF will not have success.

i wonder if pittsburgh feels as honored as us

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
