When I was at USF from Fall '03 to Spring '05 I was majoring in Geography (to get a job in weather).

Now that I'm at Saint Leo, I am majoring in Sport Management and will graduate in Spring '08.

Did you have Dr. Reeder for any classes?

My little sister is in the same boat... she's working at a coffee shop while awaiting her grad school application results.  

I'd venture to say that International Studies is designed primarily for people who already work in the field, and need to formalize their education.  I'm an international studies major, but it applies to my current job.  If I were fresh out of high school....dont think I would do international studies.  There arent many "mainstream" jobs to which that degree applies.

Yeah, my last year of school was spent mobilized with my Army Reserve unit missed out on the few internships the International Studies programed offered.  Then when I came back I had a family to support and working minimum wage just isn't cutting it.  Atleast now I am eligible for the GI Bill so the Veterans Administration is going to pay to fix the mess I am in.  International Studies is an interesting program, but you aren't going to put any bread on the table with it, atleast not right away.

What did you do in the military?
