The Times is sponsoring the game so I imagine that weighed into consideration as well. (Oh yeah...as opposed to having a sports venue in TAMPA named for St. Petersburg... )

The 2004 spring game takes place at 1:00 PM on Saturday April 10 at Raymond James Stadium.  Bring a St. Petersburg Times newspaper for free admission.  If you are considering purchasing season tickets, you can check out seat locations and meet with a sales representative during the game.  For more information on the Hops 2004 Spring Football Game, call 1-800-GoBulls. Only through taking the messages to all of the campuses or campi or whatever are we going to raise the money needed for this effort.  

If you look at the branches that UCF, http://www.regionalcampuses.ucf.edu/ has, or all the 22 extensions UF has,http://www.ifas.ufl.edu/research/recmap.htm  suddenly, USF seems pretty small with 5 locations.  

USF is a regional school not just a Tampa school.  Yes, Fort Myers spun off into FGCU but that is just a sign of the times.  

The road show is a good thing IMHO.
