I think the most entertaining thing would be the reaction of the Gator nation.

I'd love to see this rumor get some legs and get some media attention.  That would be fun, wouldn't it?  "Unamed sources" say Spurrier to take USF assistant HC position.  Attended team practice this week....

If Spurrier said he would coach at USF if Leavitt was fired....you all would pray for Leavitt to screw up!!

I know you all would love to have Spurrier coach at USF, rather than the beloved "JIM".

I believe Spurrier was there just to see his old friend, Carl Franks. I have read that both Franks and Spurrier are close.

SS would divide the Bull nation. There are too many people who dont like him. I thought the Bucs would have done the same thing if they hired him. There are too many FSU fans or part FSu fans that couldnt stand cheering for him in any capacity.

i have seen far more unbeleiveable things in sports to say Spurrier coaching at USF is a fantasy or impossible

spurrier wouldn't take position for money but to get his reputation back and just coach

if offense struggles again leavitt will be forced to bring in somebody.USF has too much talent to struggle to get first downs

How can he be a clone?  The Bull ego maniac (all HC's must be to a pt.) expertise comes from the opposite side of the ball.  Not even close.  Leavitt is a much more player friendly coach than SS ever dreamed possible.

The KY faithful despise Pitino and do NOT wish him back even when they lose!  As for Spurrier, he got his ass handed to him in the NFL, if he came back to the College game, I'm sure every opposing coach would be looking at game film from the pros to see how to stop ol'fun and gun, I don't want Spurrier at USF, hell, I'm having a hard time with having an ex-gator on the coaching staff!

Sorry, just 'aint true about all UK fans despising Pitino. I have lots of friends in Lexington, and many of them DO wish Pitino left. They aren't that found of Tubby (and with a name like that, who would be) Also, they are pissed Ricky is now at Louisville.

However, it seems we do agree that Spurrier can KISS IT - not on zee left cheek, and not on zee right cheek, but right in zee middle...
