South Florida Change?

ESPN and the Big East Conference would like Pitt to move its opener at South Florida from Sept. 4 to Labor Day two days later.

The game is not scheduled to be televised but will be on ESPN if it is moved to Monday. ESPN is one of the Big East's broadcast partners, and South Florida will join the conference, along with Louisville and Cincinnati, beginning in 2005.

Pitt athletic director Jeff Long said discussions will continue.

It will be in T.V. revenue, but more important ... EXPOSURE .

Does suck for outta towners ...but you'll see it on local T.V.
