I have to admit, I thought we would do a little better than we did.  However, let's not forget, we had two or three 4 star guys transfer in and sat out last year who will also be part of this class even though they aren't listed in the recruits.

There are 5 star dorks that give those ratings.  Most these guys have never played a sport in their life.

just because they played sports doesnt mean that these rating systems actually mean anything.  judging 17 year old kids based on game videos and maybe seeing them once or twice in person has almost zero translation into success.

just a quick look at some teams recruiting rankings from 02 and i noticed that AJ Hawk and Santonio Holmes were both 3 star players.  now both will end up being 1st round picks probably both going in the top 15.

5 of their 8 3-star recruits are from Florida.........not keeping this in-state talent will destroy us    

What makes you think USF has a choice? do not forget that the parents of these kids are involved in the decision making and Duke is a fine academic school with a great campus. Just because a kid played HS football here does not mean he has to go to school in state. I am Florida born and bred and I wanted to get out of the state after HS. I had never seen snow or a change of seasons (from Miami) my point is a lot of factors go into where the kids go to school.

That would be a physical difference, rather than a subjective ranking difference.  Oh, and there's a big difference between my 9 and your 5... ;D

What sport. I have to make sure its not soccer. That does not count. Rezz I agree. Unless it is clear cut how can you know that from watching someone a couple of times.
