University Is Bullish On A New Sports Bar

    I went to the Bull Ring after the St. Johns/USF basketball game and had a great time. The place had more USF stuff than the first time I went about two weeks ago. The place was rocking because of the New England/Denver game. By the way, I had the chicken nachos, and they were really good.

    I think I talked to the owner, he was a really tall guy from NJ (I think), he asked me if I was a USF alumn. I answered him in the affirmative, and he then proceeded to thank me for my patronage. We finally have our own USF-themed bar, let's go and support this business. They're obviously making more of an attempt to fit in with the university than any other bar/resteraunt in the area.

There's a stark contrast to having a difference of opinion at times and being a chronic ***** and moaner, which means very rarely having a positive thing to say about anything USF.....

You've got to be kidding me because I certainly haven't noticed them.

It's a restaurant you whining, sniveling, B**ches.  Had it called itself Gators you all would have in a major upheaval.  Give it a year, if they don't add more USF stuff to it, or conform then start to cry.  Until then shut-up because it usually takes most restaurants about six months to work the kinks out.  OF COURSE THIS IS JUST MY OPINION! ;D

P.S. Even if the food isn't that great it's still worth patroning for the mere USF support of it.  For the clueless, if USF ALUM can prove that something bent exclusively for our University can be self-supportive you may see more USF Themed options in the near future.  BUT FIRST WE MUST BE ABLE TO PROVE WE CAN SUPPORT ONE!

If they really want more business, they need to improve their sign.  It was not easy for me to find it because the bull ring logo has black all around it.  

The Chinese restaurant next door to it has a sign that can be seen from miles down the road!

I went to the Bull Ring on Sat after the game and tied a good one on. I think this place will only get better in time. I am going to make it my spot after basketball games. Stop in for a couple before I head back to the beach. It takes support to get these place going.

I couldn't agree more!  The place just needs a little time to work out the kinks.  It's worth the drive just to give the joint your patronage alone!

So what?  Our football helmet decals are black too.  They're just following the university's lead.

The bull ring's dark logo on an all black background doesn't work.  There's no contrast.  It should be on a light background.  Your helmet example doesn't make any sense.

Not only is that sign too dark.... it's way too small...that's why they need that big billboard tell you that you have passed (heading west) it.
