Well, at least we haven't declared ourselves National Champions yet.  Let me know when that happens.

You are probably looking at the wrong areas if you believe USF is not on the road to success…….

There is huge leap, a vast ocean, between being on the road to potential success and being awarded best athletic department in the country.

Again this is not a criticism of USF or Kelly; 90 percent of the programs in the country don't merit this award.

I could see a Liberty because they went from not having a division 1 program to going to a major bowl winning this award. I could see SMU winning the AAC, and being invited by the ACC perhaps winning this award, but not USF at this point in time.

An award should be based on current merit and not something prospective.

.... This thread's played out just as I envisioned when I saw the article and wondered if anyone was going to light the fuse and post it.

First thing I thought of when I read about the award was the NSHSS .... but the GoUSFBulls.com article on this does give a nice overview of the Athletics Department under MK. He ain't going anywhere in the foreseeable future.

A question. What does NSHSS mean? I googled it and it didn't clear it up.
