Power  conferences only really care about college football for tv revenue.  Nothing he can do short of going a major win streak and show consistent winning seasons compared to consistent losing seasons should change anyone's mind.

That generously gives him credit for CCS wins. MK selected coaches are 13-36.

This should cover at least  80 percent of the criteria if this award had any credibility.

And even if you look past the two major sports. Yes, improvement in volleyball, but when is the last time we went to the tournament. Even our flagship women's basketball team hasn't had a deep run in the NCAAT. Baseball hasn't been good except one year. We haven't made the NCAAT for men's basketball in more than a decade. In order to be considered the best of anything, shouldn't we make the elite 8 in a sport, any sport for that matter?

This award would even have been a reach in our Big East glory days when we had a soccer team in the elite 8 and were ranked in football.

I am hopeful that in maybe 2 years we can be deserving of such an award, but shouldn't we at least be ranked in the top 25 in football and make it to the  NCAAT first.

Collegiate athletic departments across the U.S. of all sizes and members of any division were eligible to participate. Applicants submitted responses to a 28-question online form between May 27 and Sept. 4, 2024. Questions covered the following categories:

• Sports-related facilities and resources
• Mental health and other wellness services
• NIL (name, image, and likeness) deregulation support and education
• Career transition services

Responses were carefully evaluated and scored, and the final selections represent those departments that have demonstrated exceptional innovation in, and commitment to, a brighter future for college athletes.

That was about it, nothing about success and based on each school's feedback.  Really strong effort their FOS.
