We've got younger guys that could benefit from more playing time.  Might see the speedster Smith.

I'd be ok with this. Taggart let the young guys play. we took our lumps early but it paid off eventually.

I think CAG is a good coach. he beats who he should. not sold on his recruiting or development yet.

Needs to get play makers in here. No reason why a walk-on should be our leading receiver in year 2. especially with the skill position talent that comes out of this state. no offense to atkins. he's not a game breaking playmaker that will play on sundays.

I hope so. we need to see it in the skill position group.

I hate to say it but Scott brought in better receivers in Horn and Weaver than anything I've seen from Golesh so far.

winning is the goal. doesn't matter how much you lose by.

Unless of course you're into moral victories.

UCF built their program that way.

I find it laughable that people think our problem is that we snap the ball 5 seconds too soon on offense.

Our problem is that our yards per play is down 16% from last year and our points per play are down 25% from last year.

That will begin to correct itself though when we play the weaker back half of our schedule.

Keeping games from being blowouts means you have a chance of winning. It also is a hell of a a lot better to lose by 3 than 30. But CAG apparently shares your flawed logic which is why he is getting blown out at a far high rate than even CJS.

I prefer a scheme that doesn’t require playing weaker teams to succeed.

Yes, and it wasn't necessarily the fact that we lost to Tulane, but how we lost.

Had we been in a close game I would feel much better about our chances against Navy and Memphis

100%. It’s actually amazing how pivotal that game has turned out to be. In addition to what you said (close loss), imagine if we had won. Bama and Miami look like near misses for a strong USF team. Probably/might have been favored against Memphis?

That does open it up for the pendulum to partially swing back with a win. A loss further solidifies that we aren’t very good. A blowout loss means CAG is in trouble.

sorry but play calling and pace are not going to fix what's wrong with this team.

Im not sure what you are proposing. We are all talking about things we can do to adjust with current players to maximize strengths. What we are doing right now is not working.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
