Defense, idk, whole defense is off. Tulane just had guys wide open everywhere. This is a scheme and formation issue on the defense I think, not an issue from our hurry up offense.

The Bucs must have watched how we play D. The middle of the field was wide open all night.

Are looking to hire Todd Orlando? HE can show them how to open up the field for the other team.

we aren't playing against p2 level talent on a regular basis.

like I said playing a slowed down offense will keep games closer as it limits possessions for both teams.

it doesn't mean we will win more.it just means we will get blown out less.

what we do need is a more efficient offense and in order for us to achieve that we will need better players.

if we wanted a slowed down offense we should have hired someone like charlie strong whose philosophy is to play conservative, field position football  in order to keep games close and hope to win by a field goal.

Getting blown out less is a bad thing?

The examples you’ve given of a successful ultra tempo offensives are elite P2s. Are there any examples of G5 level talent pulling it off?

Coach Saban on College Gameday talking about transformational vs transactional football.  How it's not over for FSU and that Novell can turn it around.  One play at a time, process driven, etc.  It's like he's speaking to me about USF.

winning is the goal. doesn't matter how much you lose by.

Unless of course you're into moral victories.

UCF built their program that way.

I find it laughable that people think our problem is that we snap the ball 5 seconds too soon on offense.

Our problem is that our yards per play is down 16% from last year and our points per play are down 25% from last year.

That will begin to correct itself though when we play the weaker back half of our schedule.

Tennessee runs far diff plays than usf. We cannot compare. They attack middle of field not just sidelines.

so play calling is the reason? Not tempo?

Maybe just maybe they have better players than us.

name one offensive player that will make an nfl roster. Taggart was stacked at the skill positions.

I like atkins but he is a walk-on. Joiner seems like a great person but he is a 6th year senior who has had injury issues.

They are our leading receiver and rusher.

we need play makers at the skill positions. Guys who can break games open.

Taggart's offenses had a ridiculous amount of TD drives that lasted less than 2 minutes.

He had guys who could take it to the house on any given play.

Mack, Adams, MVS, Flowers, D'ernest.... He had a roster loaded with NFL talent.

It is possible here. CAG needs to bring in game breakers. we don't have any.

Don’t get me wrong we have alot wrong

it’s all of the above. We do need to slow down when we are struggling and keep it  paced when we are rolling. Have to adjust each game.

when we had flowers we had mack, and mvs. Some other big play makers as well so it doesnt compare honestly

we do not have playmakers currently. While i like our receivers we do not create separation in our current scheme. We could if we switch schemes and we need to run crossing routes , misdirection plays. We have a tight end out wide most of the time and it’s useless. I

we dont use middle of field so we are one dimentional. When we did use screens and small crossing routes we moved ball well but that was nowhere to be found vs tulane.

the tulane game really exposed us. We saw what a real team we should be on same level with and how far away from that we are

sorry but play calling and pace are not going to fix what's wrong with this team.

We've got younger guys that could benefit from more playing time.  Might see the speedster Smith.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
