USF’s six-win improvement in 2023 was second nationally only to Northwestern’s seven-win improvement (1-11, to 7-5) among the best in the nation for 130 FBS programs in 2023. USF’s seven wins were three better than the program’s combined win total over the previous three seasons (4-29), and the six-win improvement over 2022 (1-11) marked the bestever, year-over-year improvement in program history. It marked the greatest, and only, win improvement for a first-year USF head coach compared to the year prior. Alex Golesh’s seven wins were the third-best total in a USF coach’s first season.

Can’t really compare to FAMU. No offense to them but I don’t think the Canes took them too seriously. Canes took USF more seriously imo.
