Below, I show where Byrum Brown ranks within our conference in a number of categories for the 10 quarterbacks with at least 90 passing attempts.

Passing Yards - 7th

Yards per Attempt - 8th

CMP% - 10th (Last)

TD - 9th (Tied for last)

Rating - 8th

So, there it is. We can talk about all the possible issues, such as play-calling, quality of players, etc; however, poor QB play has been the primary issue through the first 4 games. And poor accuracy has been the number one issue in the poor QB play. If our QB is ranked last in the conference in accuracy and ranked near the bottom in other important stats, we cannot ignore that, especially if we are expected to go unbeaten in conference, as many think we will.

Lets also consider he faced Bama and Miami not some easy defense at all. 
Now he has started slow vs FAMU but we saw some improvements vs USM.and last night I felt.

To my untrained eye, his mechanics seem to have changed from last year.  Obviously the passing game has regressed...how much is BB and how much is it the receivers?

I noted that I included qbs with at least 90 pass attempts. There are 10.

He has had time to throw against Bama and Miami, and receivers have been open. He missed them badly. Last night was the worst. There were multiple throws that did not come within 10 yards of the receiver.

When I see receivers wide open and the passes are nowhere close to catchable, I say it is BB.

It is a big problem now. The question is how big of a problem will it be in conference play?
