They should have just scored again instead of taking a knee.

We’ve lost A LOT, but this may be our worst loss in a very long time because we honestly felt we should compete. There is absolutely no excuse for not being able to give Tulane a game and make them earn it. I don’t know how you explain this one away.

We had no chance at winning this game. You wanna know why?

We were beaten by a "Mensah" Candidate. No chance.

I wasn’t confident we’d win today. But I thought it would be close. Close win or close loss. This is a whole other kettle of fish. No idea what to think of the team and effort at this point. We clearly won’t be winning the AAC any time soon. I guess the bowl blowout win last year raised my expectations/hopes too high. ****.

This is almost exactly my take...

**** like this happens, and of course I'm upset at the coaching.  But then I think, what coach would come here?  We're not a premier program.  We look awesome against Bethune, but who cares?

I knew I'd poke you with that. 😉

They look the part but they dont act the part. Nutriton and taking care of your body is essential, but we lack player develop and pure skill which is more important for college football.

I have to give Tulane some credit here.  I never thought we would struggle against them.  It was an egregious error.

I told you guys that all teams on our schedule has a blueprint going forward. Brown has shown that he cannot make the pass downfield. They are going to dare him to make that pass. They are coming in with a game plan to stop the Brown's running and the running plays, especially up the middle. Until BB can hit deep passes, we may not win many games the rest of the year.

Okay folks, just like I said. In the post-game interview, they asked Tulane's coach what his game plan was against USF. He said, quite simply, to load the box and dare Brown to beat them throwing down the field.

That will be every coach's plan the rest of the year until Brown can start hitting those passes. We may not win another game this year, unless we see a different Brown or a different QB.

The color analyst (whoever he is) could not understand why the SoFla wideouts lined up so far away from the group, and that it took 30 years of air to complete a 5 yard pass.

I don't get it. It clearly doesn't work. Doesn't take $2.5m (or whatever we are paying him) salary to figure it out.

This. If we are making progress to compete at the upper level of this conference, you have to show a pulse against the best. I knew we would lose but figured we would at least show we could hang for a bit.

That's the veer and shoot philosophy.  It worked once all day where we got all the blocking and got a few yards lol.

The idea is you line the WRS up very wide which opens the middle of the field for running which we do so well.  Wait.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
