The game went just about how I thought it would...in fact I predicted 49-13 and loss on a tiebreaker to @CousinRicky.  Lesser talented team lands a few early jabs and keeps it somewhat close and then depth, talent and experience takes over and the lesser team gets rolled.  Miami is looking at a very special season this year and a possible. playoff berth and we are no where even close to their level.  They have a future NFL QB and insane talent and depth on both lines of scrimmage.

I hope they don't let this loss carry over to Tulane...mainly because I'll be there

Unpopular opinion…I don’t like Golesh’s offense. I’d rather see creative plays run at a normal pace than his hurry up offense which only seems effective (at times) against bad competition.

It definitely had a stretch yesterday where it was paying off, i almost was converting along with us, but alas midnight struck and we returned to a pumpkin

I like the offense.

 

It worked for Tennessee. And UCF. 
 

Seemed it was getting us into scoring position for the first half, the last few yards of the redzone is still a struggle. Not sure what happened at half time, seems because of depth and adjustments we got shut out (and missed easy FG).

And then because we are prioritizing speed over quality, we end up running something just to run a play and the drives stall. Brown had 14 rushes for 27 yards. More rushing attempts than the RBs combined. It seems we, by necessity, have to have a limited playbook for this type of offense. 
 

The 2nd half collapses are aided by the fact that we don’t control time of possession. Both sides of the ball are exhausted. Offense because their running wind sprints and the defense because they are always on the field.

Bingo, we have a ways to go.  This is a minimum a two year process.  3 years to get depth.  That is the start.  We also only have one WR.   However, I am happy we stayed in the game for the first half.  That game being there made me excited about a home stadium that will prevent all of the orange team crap or at least mitigate it. 

I was saying to my Florida friend, you know when your team has made it when you have rabid fans like the two 60 year old men in front of me wearing orange, WR gloves, Oh, yes chains and stupid immature crap around their neck showing up to away games.    The most rabid Florida fans are ones who live around Gainesville who never went to school there.  

Takes time to build that, and it starts with home stadium and building our brand one stadium brick at a time.
