It’s more concerning to me that I’m not sure that if we had zero injuries and they were to lose a player for the game on every play at what number of plays that would actually matter to the outcome.

Reminded me of the same problem as we tried to be successful in the Leavitt era.  Depth.  Even worse in the current age because of transfers and NIL.  We do not and may never will not ever have the depth of the blue bloods and historically successful programs.  Our NIL is to get three or four players at our level.  These guys stock depth via NIL.  We cannot.  All you modern era NIL fans should think about this.  We will never compete when money is the determinant.

We've got so much more to do.   Private schools put more money into their sports and have more financial help than public institutions.

Actually had the same type feeling. Depth is hurting now in games like these where depth hurt back then over the season ..... starting out strong and wearing down. Hopefully though, the depth we have now is enough for this conference over the season.

This has been a problem all season.

We’ve had like 10 players drop and Miami hasn’t had one. (And we’ve only played one half of a game so far).

it’s been the same all season, players dropping like flies all game.

What gives?

Golesh needs to get the strength and conditioning in order.

This is unacceptable.

From my vantage point, they were bigger faster and stronger which will generate more injuries.  We are not soft, they were simply better, have you ever tried to tackle/ block/cover somebody more talented than you?  You can’t help but get injured.  Playing hard with aggression results in injuries especially when the other team is a lot better.  I don’t see any issue with our effort, we are simply outmanned and more time in the gym isn’t going to close that gap, they have much more talent, only way to close that gap is to get more talent which will not happen given the current landscape.

Depth you can not build in one season ...

Until we get into a big conference this will always be an issue. We can’t get enough talent to come here or stay home.

I think this is one of the outcomes of playing higher profile teams out of conference. They are typically bigger, stronger and more plentiful. Blue blood programs not only use the early part of season as a preseason, but it hopefully limits the injuries going into schedule play. That was a physical game last night!

Wonder if Shuler is back for Tulane and do we think Byrum Brown is ready to go?

The Times says Brown is ok and ready to go next week. And just now I'm  hearing the BULLS Nation  breathe a sigh of relief😌
