i guess i cant talk ****. they’ve won the conference & a Cotton Bowl & we havent.

OTOH, we are a former BCS/Power Conference school with wins over SEC, ACC, B1G & BIGXII teams.

not something Janet would sing about in 2024, but USF has proven it can be competitive week in & week out with a P5 schedule & P5 recruiting. no reason USF cant do it again.

& boy if this Miami game doesnt feel more like a natural rivalry than anything with Florida Central.

Yea, this game has been great so far. I hope the Pac, ACC, and Big 12 are watching since USF has amazing potential.

It would be a marginal upgrade over the American.

It feels like this new PAC 12 is shaping up to be the new AAC after the former Big East Conference invited all those CUSA schools. It is just gonna be another conference where every school is looking for an invite to a better conference and I fear that there are a few other schools that would be ahead of us in the pecking order.

On the other hand the only way we have a chance for the ACC is if FSU leaves (which doesn’t seem likely now).

I'll give you that.  I wish it were.  We got distracted by the gene pool disaster to the northeast in the lost decade.

I voted no.

I'm not a member of the "anywhere but here" camp.

Although I voted no in the poll, I am still vacillating.   Maybe if we are in the strongest (by perception) G5 conference we could thrive.  Might help fill our upcoming stadium having good matchups.  Lately what has happened is that good teams are rewarded with their star players and coaches being poached leading to their decline.  Expect Tulane to take a step back this year because of that.  The teams in the autonomy conferences are against sharing their wealth and there isn't a formal promotion model.   Only so much we can do to change our lot.  Location, location, location is a plus for us (and Tulane) but modern CFB has gone off the rails and doesn't value regionality.

We have already experienced a conference that lost its P5 status. I havent seen anybody confirm if the Pac 12 will remain a P5.

pac 12 is next one to fail

in 10 years  there will only be 2 conferences. sound familiar

based on our football prowess i dont think the pac 12 even wants us

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
