My son who is in the USCG and stationed in Nawlins just texted me their models are showing a cat 4 or 5 coming in on Friday.

The storm could just as easily be here........seems that models are all over the place on track and intensity

Yep, I just read an article on baynews9 and Accuweather, both said it depends on the jet stream that forms. That will likely determine it's track. Now, maybe the USCG has data and tech we don't have access to and that is why they are expecting a 4 or 5 for New Orleans, but everything we have access to says it is all up in the air at the moment.

Meteorologist   is one of privileged  few careers you can get everything wrong consistently and keep your job.   Maybe we can ask fau if we can use their stadium again if Tulane can't play at home and doesn't want to play at Ray Jay.

The ECMWF (Euro) and GFS aren't even close in agreement yet. It's definitely a wait and see at this time!
