Possible monster hurricane hitting NOLA next week

My son who is in the USCG and stationed in Nawlins just texted me their models are showing a cat 4 or 5 coming in on Friday.

Still more than 7 days out.  The local weather guys in Tampa are monitoring the situation too.  Models won't come together better until later next week.

Be aware, but don't change your plans until more tangible information is available.

We should just be hoping it doesn't develop, unlikely, but still hoping nothing comes of it. Cat 4 or 5 hitting any area along the Gulf Coast would be devastating.
