But why? Sometimes you find a good gig and no amount of money can lure you away. He's already a millionaire. He's young, so he might not have that more more more no amount is ever enough boomer mentality.

I'm glad CWT came along and everyone got to see his rise and fall from start to finish.

Hopefully his journey is a lesson to other coaches who are quick to jump to the next big thing just bc it's there.

CAG is gone the minute a $4+ million contract at a decent P4 is dangled in front of him. Don’t delude yourself into thinking otherwise. Hopefully, that isn’t any time soon.

He's staying for the long haul.

But man! I’m just taking a moment to reflect that this situation is a lot better than the alternative situations that USF has been through with bad coaching hires. I will take this anyday over the other situations.

Despite the history with Charlie Strong (fault of our admin for hiring someone with a drastically different coaching philosophy)...

A coach being hired away is always better than firing a head coach.

Another school buys out the contract (as opposed to paying someone NOT to coach) AND if you hire the right guy -- no rebuild is necessary (ucf's Josh Heupel).

What a colossal waste of time for CAG to get involved in the design of the facilities that he has no intention of using.

Does CAG seem like a guy who likes to waste his time?

This whole conversation is silly and hypothetical and this is the last time I am engaging with it.

Yeah he will figure it out anywhere he goes.  I don't think he is totally ready yet though because the situational playcalling in key moments hasn't showed up yet.

One thing I've always noticed about CAG is that he exudes intelligence.

Can't say that about Napier.
