More reason to take the Pac invite ( if we get it). This team in order to make the playoffs through the AAC will have to start winning some of these games against the top 20 in the country.

But as we have seen the gap has only increased between them and us

7-5 was the best case scenario.  No doubt.  8 wins was a folly.

7 wins are not guaranteed either, you gotta play them.

Many, including myself thought we'd start 2-4.  thought we could win 6 straight after that, yet UAB might be a problem.

Today Navy pops up as maybe a problem.  We're rebuilding.  We're not built. All should know that.

Probably not since the PAC champion would almost certainly get the playoff spot, while being left in the AAC just winning your conference wouldn't be enough and you would need that top 20 win in order to distinguish yourself from the other conferences.

Look at OSU and WSU they have gotten those type of wins in the last couple of seasons. Also Boise state came very close to beating Oregon this year.

I cant even be mad about losing tonight since the talent level between us and Miami was just overwhelming.  We need to find a way to close the talent gap or I am afraid getting the type of wins we got a  10 -16 years ago will become almost impossible.

We are what we are, we were simply out manned, not mad, BB played as well as he could.  This is simply an unfair system, did we really feel like we had a shot in the second half.  I know I sound like a sad sally, but the game seems to be losing its juice.  Apathy has sunk in, I miss the days I used to be pissed.
