I missed the Bama game. Out of the country currently. What happened in the fourth that Bama put up 28?

Also, is USF still playing conservatively until Conference play or something?

Last year, we held Bama to 17 points.  I was so pumped and confident in our D leading up to the next game.  Then we gave up 29 points to Rice, 30 to Navy, 56 to UAB and FAU...

I hope CTO brings the same defense we saw in the first 3.5 quarters for the rest of the season.   Keep the pressure turned up and lets win the conference.

I felt like CTO dialed back the pressure, I didn't see anywhere near as many blitz packages as we did throughout the game.  It gave Milroe time to read the field, and he gashed us with his feet and through the air.  Nothing over the top where the backs were beat, just open windows in the zone, bad positioning, and missed tackles.  Also some questionable missed holding calls.

We don't have the depth to blitz against that kind of size and speed for 60 minutes straight. I think they did a good job managing everything for the first 53 minutes and then the wheels fell off.

Southern Miss was destroyed by UK and then was in a fight against a BAD FCS team (SE Lousiaina), winning just 14-10 midway through the 3rd. That same FCS team lost 52-0 to Tulane in week 1. If we are going to compete for the AAC Title we have to win this type of game by 17+ points. I hope we see the coaches get BB into a rhythm passing. Our ceiling is dictated by his development as a passer.

Tropical storm should be through there by Friday morning.  Shouldn't affect our Bulls getting to Hattiesburg.

T-storms aren't too bad unless they hang there and don't move.

We bring same energy as bama all year which good teams try to do we will have a shot vs anyone. It’s all consistency and staying healthy. 
 

our offense 100% we need to create plays off our run game m. It should be opening up the pass. I watch what tennessee does and want to see those passing concepts even if we miss. We have to keep attacking vertically and use middle of field more. We did that last year and we have better skill players this year. Personally think bb was gassed from runs and didnt have his legs under him 2nd half and tried to hang on as long as he could. Still an issue with passing probably we will see they will make an effort to get his stats up in the air. 
 

defense if they can continue what they have showed we cab dominate up front and trust we have great coverage behind. We only got beat when we backed up and gave them room. Press we never got burned!
