Overall the offense at times looked sloppy and we still won 48 to 3.

I like Joiner and Keith at RB we need speed at rb with this OL.

Just curious, are you saying Golesh should've already found a better QB than BB? How would you know he Hasn't?

Watching replay another thing I notice especially from receivers...great lower body strength...multiple times would take defenders on a ride or break tackles for more yards.

And they blocked.  One of my pet peeves along with stupid penalties and turnovers is WRs who don't bother to block.

Yes....it was good wr blocking that helped Brown get that long td.

Morning-after thoughts:

1. Offensive play calling was as vanilla as it gets - on purpose - and we didn’t play with the tempo we’ll see the rest of the season outside of maybe one drive.

2. Offensive line is not a strength - still

3. CAG brings in portal guys to start - the depth chart they released was meaningless

4. This game showed us very little about whether or not the defense is improved

5. Special teams may be our best unit

6. We did not come into this game healthy - I don’t know for sure who played and who didn’t, but there seemed to be a lot of fairly prominent names absent (Herring, Cheney, Berryhill, Vaughn, Greenwald, Simmons, Skinner, Kilfoyl). Maybe I missed them and they did play?

Berryhill was out there and missed a pass coverage he should have had, If I remember correctly.

One of the things that was mentioned in the broadcast was one of the big takeaways from last season was how inconsistent we were running the ball inside the 10.  I believe this was a perfect time to try to get more live reps against a real opponent in game situations.  By now everyone should be aware of how "process" driven CAG and I believe he is going to go back and take all these misses and break them down for everyone to learn from.  I believe we will see a much different offense on Saturday night @Alabama.  Love the defensive effort, and the work that the guys did in the off season is 100% showing in their bodies.

Also with BB adding so much muscle (20 lbs) so fast, he throwing mechanics maybe behind a bit trying to catch up to his body.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
