Varsity got way harder after the patch but mostly because the O line blocking is broken at times.  Thus the birth of the memes: you have to identify the Mike bro or your O line will let the entire D line that are -15 OVR sack you uncontested.  They fixed the secondary pursuit angles but broke the O line for some reason.

I've had to mess with the sliders to get my O line to block the same way again.

No respect for winning the National Championship and starting the season ranked #21 and seeing Clemson at #1.

It took me a few years + to get the preseason #1.  It might take into account your overall scores which takes a few years of recruiting.  But yes the national championship doesn't get you to start on top.

Not completely.  Just the overtly broken things like not being able to change the positions of incoming freshmen.

The more complex things like the jacked up line play I don't know if they would have fixed yet.

I was figuring Top 10 at least, especially with who I had coming back.

Recruiting is a bit easier at least now.

Does TN have a jet sweep for flips sake?  The best I can do is a shotgun Y wk HB sweep which is fun but when you have a 99 speed WR it would be nice.

The Buck Sweep play?

I’m usually #12 in the preseason rankings. Even after making the playoffs every year and winning 4 out of 6(including a three peat) championships so far. And I have had the number 1 recruiting class the past 3 seasons.

I really like the recruiting post patch.  It does limit your visits to I think 4 per week, but it also limits it for everyone else.  I feel pretty comfortable getting everyone I am going after now.

Yeah that's the one with a speed RB.  I just really want a jet touch pass play where the WR goes in motion and you can just give it to the WR.  There's been times where my main RBs are gassed and I have a 99 WR sitting there and I want to keep baiting them more toward the run.  I am getting a pretty good rotation with 4 RBs now.

By the way, I had an epiphany with a power RB.  I didn't realize if you tap X it will break tackles where you are being contested (even when it is not blinking on the screen?).  I have a power RB that can run between the tackles and just shed 3 guys and get open grass.  Pretty cool.  It doesn't work all the time but definitely against the smaller guys.  Also you can tap hit stick forward at the last second when a little guy is trying to tackle and just truck him into the ground.  I had my first Beast Mode run just trucking people and shedding everyone.  I am now recruiting a mix of fast and power RBs...

I am also finding with the USF playbook it is nice to use hot routes for the TEs.  Sometimes they have them running into some weird areas where a nice quick out or corner route is all that is needed.  A lot of the playbook is running 3 people into the same middle area to flood it, which gets me lots of INTs.  So I send one the other way and he is wide open.

It takes a while until the nation understands that USF is dominant.  🤣

How many stars is your version of USF?  Maybe that is taken into account?  It takes a while to slowly bring up all of those things.

I lose on all difficulties against any opponent. Varsity, I can make bowl games; all-American, I can win a game or two; Heisman, I just focus on recruiting.

I've always just played AA...and so far I'm not having an issue, but it seems most people are having issues with pass blocking and the passing game. I don't really pass all that much, so maybe I'm not getting the same experience b/c I stick to the ground game. I'll give a game on varsity a run with my flexbone offense. If I'm just carving up teams like Nebraska in the Old Big 8, I'll just stick to AA.

I love that play. I'll have to look at my stats of usage and yardage. I don't use it much, but I gain at least 8 yards or more with it on average.
