Competing at the highest level of the sport requires dedicating even more extensive financial resources. Here’s just a few examples.

Houston has plans already in the works. While TDECU Stadium is only 10 years old, construction is well underway on a new football operations center — it comes with a $130 million price tag and is expected to open in 2025 — and the 40,000-seat stadium was designed to expand as high as 60,000 capacity, per the school.

UCF called its efforts Mission XII, previously dubbed the Sharon & Marc Hagle Gateway.

The complex’s facilities are projected to include a new football locker room, weight room, training room, and coaches’ offices. Despite operating with deficits due to COVID, athletic director Terry Mohajir projected last year that the Knights would up their operating budget from $72 million to about $90 million during the school’s first year in the Big 12.

It's kind of a meme to say "due to covid" for everything.  When I hear it now I groan.  It does work for joe bag o donuts though.

it makes sense, when discussing how global supply chains were affected the last few years... as an excuse for running an operating budget at a deficit... i guess it makes sense if you are retarded. checks out.

I know you don't mean to be disrespectful but I kindly ask you refrain from that term. Thanks.

I apologize. I didn't mean to equate any intellectually disabled (i think this is the pc term) people you may know with the stupidity of the knats. I can see how that comparison is an insult to disabled people. Just to be clear, I would never (and have never—since I was like 8 maybe) use that term directed at actual disabled people.

Now if only we could tap some of that Tay Tay $$$$ for Tampa Bay.

Florida International will be playing football in Pitbull Stadium, as the recording artist has bought naming rights to the 20,000-seat stadium for five years.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
