I just read it and seems like a cheap hack piece. The rationale for private debt seems fine to me. Yes the math is true, lower interest means savings. Duh. There are a lot of factors though and it seems to me like going private meant less upfront costs and separating the university's credit from the stadium. Seems logical. 

Really a business cost/benefit analysis.  Anyone who has been through the public bond financing process for projects in Florida -- particularly if the project is time sensitive -- could understand why the private debt route would be deemed preferable.

Interesting he said 35,000-40,000. I am totally fine waiting longer for final renderings if they are still working on all the details of what the final product will look like. Especially if they are still considering making it a little bit bigger. I am hoping it will have 40,000 capacity. It is probably cheaper that way than having to add capacity on a later date.
