There's something to be said for that. If you want to maximize television exposure, you might want to avoid competing with, arguably, more popular (better) options in prime slots. You're never going to please everyone, but the Saturday buffet is pretty crowded. Just sayin' 😏

Give us a couple prime TV slots against quality opponents per year (Alabama, Miami, Tulane, Memphis, etc.), plus our bowl game against a big-name, not necessarily big football school (e.g. Kansas, UNC, Purdue, etc.) should give us 3+ games per year with 3MM+ eyeballs.

Can we plan Thursday night games AFTER a bye week!?

That way the players get the prep time they need; especially if showcasing against a tough opponent...

Yeah we seem to do well viewership-wise in the bigger games.

As Florid State continues its legal fight against the ACC and evaluates new revenue sources, it has signed a new multimedia rights partner.

The athletic department has inked a 10-year agreement with Legends, which has struck multimedia rights partnerships with Notre Dame, Miami and Georgia Tech in recent years. Previously working with Learfield, Legends already supports premium seating for the $260 million renovation of Doak Campbell Stadium and manages hospitality for Florida State athletics.

That's a pretty good package.  No CBS Sports though? We tend to be on there a lot.

CBS Sports Network seemed frequent last year because of road games at UConn, WKU, and Navy.  The network only has partnerships with Army, C-USA, MAC, Mountain West, Navy, and UConn.  I believe their deal with Army and Navy comes up soon so that could be incorporated in to the American Athletic agreement with ESPN/ABC.

So could we could safely forego that this year?

Probably so. Southern Miss would be the game that may have been on CBSSN, but that one is already set for ESPN+ (app) I think.

Correct.  7:00pm.  ESPN+

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
