Interesting reading the comments, in particular when it comes to pricing. Depending on the price, I might do this for college football & basketball then drop it, pick it up next year.  Or just weigh it against Sling Sports Pack.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney once complained about the ACC Network's programming, according to sources, and asked, "Why can't we have a f-ing Finebaum...

Despite being all-in with ESPN, the moment showed the ACC wasn't the sports television network's top priority, especially not after it acquired all of the SEC's TV rights. In fact, the decision to put all its eggs in the ESPN basket is one reason the ACC finds itself in its current fight for its very survival. The latest era of conference realignment has challenged the conference's stability and financial viability as the Big Ten and SEC expand their membership and their financial coffers.

"The fact is, the SEC moves the needle more with viewers than the ACC. Among the 50 most-watched college football games last season, 33 featured SEC teams compared to only 11 for the ACC. The most-watched ACC conference game was Louisville-Florida State in the ACC Championship, which ranked 22nd. The SEC had seven games rate higher than that which doesn't even take into account Texas and Oklahoma which officially joined the conference in 2024. That viewership dominance extended to the conference networks, according to television industry sources, who said SEC Network programming pulls in numbers considerably higher than the ACC Network."

And if FSU/Clemson were to depart the ACC, although the conference may continue to exist an entity/conference, those ratings are going to plummet, with FSU & Clemson being, really, the only national-level brands for football.

TNT losing the NBA might open some new availability to college sports. The ACC's T3 rights are going to market in 2027 - I think it would be wise for them to diversify from ESPN and TNT may be a good home.

TNT is already getting a part of the CFP starting this year so it's definitely something that could happen.

Since the Big Ten started playing a championship game in 2011, FOX held the exclusive rights. The network aired the matchup every year since, with Gus Johnson on the call with Charles Davis as his original partner and Joel Klatt later succeeding him.

This year, fans will hear not only an entirely new crew but have to turn to a different channel. CBS will carry this year’s Big Ten Championship, with that 3:30 p.m. ET crew behind the microphones. That’s part of the new media deal. FOX will get the game back next year, NBC will carry it in 2026, FOX will get it again in 2027 and CBS does in 2028.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
