Well, that's the thing. Although, objectively young, they're also not kids. We see, in athletes across the board, what we want to see. We only hear of questionable decisions after it makes the news. So yeah, as co-chair of the Grumpy Old Man Lawn Police Club, Carrollwood Chapter - studies have shown that not much good transpires after midnight, much less in the wee small hours of the morning. Sad, absolutely...'cause we had a relationship with him.

Yes many college kids party into the wee hours of the morning across the country. It doesnt mean they deserve to get shot. Plenty of people get robbed or killed during the day as well.

Back in the 90’s, when I was going out with my friends, there were after hours clubs that actually opened at 3am, including a few in downtown Tampa on Franklin St.  It’s a different world after 2am for sure.

Very sad, nothing but prayers and hope he can pull through and make a full recovery. 
 

The amount of shell markings they had points to multiple shooters or some time of semi auto/auto weapon I would say. 
 

Something  very similar happen in South Tampa (soho) on Mother’s Day night.

Yeah, if he were in Tampa, it would be a little more understandable to be out that late/early...on 17th Street in Sarasota at 330am?  That might be the only business in Sarasota County that is open at that hour.

No one deserves to be shot for being out late, but your "risk" goes up hanging out at 3:30am.  That's just reality.  I hope he survives and makes a speedy recovery and others learn from this.  Everyone has the freedom to do what they choose, but there are real dangers out there.
