Everybody has a boss. Do you not think he is being asked by his boss what is going on? If you were his boss, wouldn't you be asking him about his decisions to play certain players? How do you sit 2 of your 3 players that are making shots for those that are not? Why would you, down the stretch, sit your veteran PG who was playing well to go with a freshman who was not. Why is Knox still playing and shooting? No coach is that bad. There is something else at play.

If VPMK is micromanaging each coach we have bigger issues.

CAR has complete control over his program, its early but it appears to me he is in over his head. I have doubts he even gets to 10 wins. I had over predicted 12 to 14 wins. Cant see a path to that.

Holy ****. I thought it was bad but didn't know actual stats. What a dumb move. That makes NO SENSE. Like at all!

Gotta play hot hands or even lukewarm hands in our case lol geeze.

Here are some stats after 6 games:

Knox leads the team in minutes per game. He is shooting: FG-26%, FT-54%, 3PT-11%

Miguel is shooting: FG-38%, 2FG-36%. The good is that he is shooting 43% from deep and from FT line.

Youngblood is shooting: FG-32%, 3PT-19%. Good from FT line.

Pryor is shooting: FG-33%, 3PT-8%. Good from FT line.

Reid is shooting: FG-37%. Good from deep and FT line.

It's 6 games into a first year's coach attempt to build something. The last thing he needs, right now, is to be micromanaged and it's kind of ridiculous to even suggest it. You have no idea what's going on during practices or even on the bench during games ....... or what CAAR's thought process is. On the surface, seems unusual but only time will tell if whatever he's doing pays off in the long run. FWIW, he only won one game his first year at KSU.

I am not saying he is being micromanaged. But at the same time, I would find it hard to believe that there has not been a conversation. And I am aware that I am not in the locker room or in practices. But something is going on here, as it is appearing to get worse with each game.

Could it just be poor decision making by the HC? Serious question.

Questioning the coach at this point, a 2-4 first season, would be micromanaging. You're 1/5 of the way through the season.

Sitting players who are producing for ones that aren't is definitely a poor decision. The real question, though, would be why?

I disagree with you both.  And I presume pancho is referring to Knox - as he has not performed.  I believe keeping him on the floor is solely Coach’s decision for the reason everyone knows.  Doesn’t happen without pitfalls and missed opportunities obviously.

You have long believed in the disconnected AD leadership model.  Not sure it’s a good thing to hire someone and assume its best to let him fend for himself.  It’s not micro-managing either.  It’s directing Athletics.

I guarantee this is not going as Coach had hoped - hence he says in presser to blame him 100%.  There is no way this start and poor play is any part of any plan at all.  I would hope you would agree, and therefore see the reason for there to be a different view.

Maybe the new Chief of Stafff acts in a role that works with the AD.  Who knows?  If not his own assistant coaches, somebody should be asking some questions.  And helping.

College coaches don’t all have the god complex.  Many do talk to their AD and many ADs have game experience as well as experience in guiding new coaches.

His prediction that we would be dancing this season should have been everyone’s first clue.

Isn’t he also the same guy who thinks the best player on the women’s team is Janette Aarnio, who Jose has pretty much buried on the bench since she got here?
