Don't like this at all but need to get used to it .......

In the end, you can't expect good talent to sit stagnant anymore. Only 5% of CFB players make it to the NFL so these players only have 4-5 years of organized football left in their life. Eventually, the transfer portal will figure itself and the talent will get better distributed. Those coaching staffs that emphasize a positive culture and developing relationships with EVERYBODy on the team will have the most success. This will raise the standards for coaches as well.

I think in this new world we don't get BB's, or any other starter's, replacement until the year before he's done ........ which is gonna be fun.

Exactly, but we should also be throwing redshirt caution to the wind because people won't stay here.

That depends on the player. Some kids really need a year to get into game shape and hit the weights to add muscle mass.

Agreed, I just mean forget staggering people out on a 5 year development path.  Use the "employees" while you have them.

If the player is ready and better than the starter then play him. If not let them add size, speed,  and develop skill.

Stinks Izzy left. Understandably that he wants to get some playing time but man, he could have been good after 2+ years of development.

Try less than 2%, either way great points.

Could be a sign that Brown is going to stick around here awhile and Carter knew he had to get out to play.

My positive spin on this.
