'Pearl River (Miss.) Community College DT Frank Harry signed with the University of South Florida on Wednesday, but it appears Pearl River QB Jimmy Oliver will not sign with USF.

Instead, USF has turned its attention to signing Miami Lakes QB Thaddeus Lewis over Oliver, the two-time junior college offensive player of the year. Oliver threw for more than 6,000 yards in two seasons at Pearl River.

With USF out of the picture, Oliver is considering Jackson State.

is this final any thoughts greg ???

WHY have we not been updated in this??

WHY would we PASS on a QB that has thrown over

6,000 yards and 67 TD's in TWO YEARS??!?!?!?!?

WHY would we consider Lewis over Oliver?

WHY has this been a dead story for two days??

Why didn´t Evan Kraky who broke records for HS QB´s in PA not pan out for the BULLS or any other 1A school ?

He would have been potential, and we have very good potential in Hill & GrothE.

Go BULLS !!!

hi. not much to update with this -- jimmy oliver still has a scholarship offer if he wants to sign with USF. i get the sense they haven't been actively recruiting him much since his official visit for the West Virginia game. Nobody on the Pearl River side of things is returning calls right now.

Bulls are certainly in the mix for Thaddeus Lewis, and they've been recruiting him from the start -- not like they just jumped on him in recent weeks. He's already made two visits and plans to make three in January, so I doubt USF would know if it's getting him for several more weeks. He's a talented athlete, for sure, and his coach says he doesn't play any other positions besides quarterback. Might be a while before there's news here -- Oliver has until the end of the first week of spring classes to make a decision if he wants to enroll somewhere in January ...

As if my outlook for the future wasn't bright enough..........WOW, i like getting this news first thing in the morning.

If Mr. Oliver and Mr. Grothe can put up a good showing in Spring Practices and give us hope for solidification of the QB position........YAY!!!!

Does anyone know, if C4 was to be permanently moved to WR, would he want to stay, or does he want to play QB first?

if there was someone to chuck the rock C4 may be ok at WR!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
