I've got both.  I'm an info junkie.  Both break about the same amount of initial info.  Rivals has more activity on the premium message board.  Rivals article writing is much better.

I wish the scout & rivals USF sites would merge.

All I'm say is the Hill was more highly recruited, is younger, has more eligibility (as opposed to a JC transfer), and is already working his way into the starting lineup as a freshman.  Those who are questioning whether he would want to move to WR might be a little premature.....

The second best player on nearly every team is the backup qb, the best player is always the qb that you're recruiting.....

Freak, this is one of those semantical issues.  What is the real size of most of these players, schools either over list or under list.

One website has Jimmy at 6-1 180lbs, another at 6-0 170, and his school has him at 6-2 190lbs.

Let's throw down an average and guess that he's probably 6ft and 1/2 inches, and around 180lbs.  He's worth a shot if he can make plays.  Two time JC POY, gaudy numbers, a scout website has him as a four star, and JUCOJunction calls him the best JC QB behind Schaeffer.  Latech, TCU, and OKST are the only known offers.

Isn't he about the same size as Michael Vick was?  I don't think he did that poorly.

Here ya go, I spoke with someone very close to Oliver tonight and before I got off the phone I asked how tall he is.  I was told he is, without a doubt, 6-foot tall.  Not 6-2, not 6-1, but six foot even.

Didnt mean to ruin the fun.

It doesn't matter how tall he is, if he can perform on field thats will be great. We can't put him in the starting line-up just yet, he will have to compete for the job. But if he as good as advertise, he will start? But as for size, who cares. A 6'5 qb doesn't guarantee anything, he played 2 years of football already, so that puts him ahead everyone except pj.   Great pick-up if he signs.

'Pearl River (Miss.) Community College DT Frank Harry signed with the University of South Florida on Wednesday, but it appears Pearl River QB Jimmy Oliver will not sign with USF.

Instead, USF has turned its attention to signing Miami Lakes QB Thaddeus Lewis over Oliver, the two-time junior college offensive player of the year. Oliver threw for more than 6,000 yards in two seasons at Pearl River.

With USF out of the picture, Oliver is considering Jackson State.

Harry (6-foot-3, 285 pounds), a junior-college honorable mention All-American, will enroll at USF in January so he can participate in spring drills and will have two years eligibility.

In other recruiting news, Largo RB Dexter McCluster, who originally verbally committed to USF, said he is now headed to Mississippi. The loss of McCluster leaves the Bulls with 14 commitments.'

Tough, but relief for Grothe and Hill.  They already signed two other RB's.

It looks like we passed on him, not the other way.

...

“It's a great honor, but I had a lot of help,†Oliver said. “Give my teammates a lot of credit. Every receiver on our team was great. They can all get open and our O-line did a tremendous job. All I had to do was find the open guy.â€Â

...

I hope this is coming from the heart, we need team guys.

Go BULLS !!!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
