I have no idea what behind the scenes our best bowl option is. My point assumed that the best available bowl game and basketball games are on same day.  My point  is that this bowl game is much more important than any basketball matches taking place that day; or around that day. You get the best bowl you can get since who knows what happens next year or the next few years. It's been almost 6 years since we have been in a bowl game.

Just curious. Are you one that feels the AAC is a conference of no names?

For the most part yes…majority of non P4 schools would fall under my definition of no names.

Yeah, that’s where we differ. I am not interested in padding stats with a win over a no name team. Feels too participation trophy-ish for me. Put these extra practices to use and play a legitimate game that people (at large - not just die hards) will want to tune into. USF needs to make a name for itself again. No risk, no reward.

Any bowl we'd be going to this year has very little risk or reward attached in regards to making a name for USF again. This is being blown way out of proportion.

Which has been our bread-n-butter since inception. It's where we excel and where we exceed expectations with alarming regularity.

You think I'd know better by now .... Our first bowl in 5 years and we're talking about style points.

It doesn't matter who we play in the bowl this year. It will be fun if it's close by and fans can attend. Alabama and Miami next year are our opportunities to make a statement and a name for ourselves. Hopefully the defense will be better.

The Bowl game is a sweet reward for our Seniors and team that has worked so hard to turn the last few years around.

But to me the real reward is the extra practice days for "bowl" preparation and mainly developing the young tale t in preparation for the 2024 season. That practice time is invaluable to the players, coaches and program.
