Yeah, that’s where we differ. I am not interested in padding stats with a win over a no name team. Feels too participation trophy-ish for me. Put these extra practices to use and play a legitimate game that people (at large - not just die hards) will want to tune into. USF needs to make a name for itself again. No risk, no reward.

@John Lewis, you would know better than I but does Disney really care that we have BB games that day or do they really listen to the school's wishes?  I would think they will determine the match up that gives them the most eyeballs on the bowl game even though it might slightly reduce eyeballs on the BB games.

Does the ability to practice end immediately after the bowl game? Meaning if we have a bowl game on December 28 does that mean that we are able to practice more than if the bowl game is on December 22?

I think our practice ends after game.

No, Disney wouldn't care.

 

As I mentioned previously, the powers that be here will do everything possible to not play that weekend.

Just curious. Are you one that feels the AAC is a conference of no names?

I  think that would be a mistake. We haven't had a bowl game  since 2018; we play more then 30 games a year in basketball.  You play in the best possible bowl against the best possible team
