Honestly at this point. I'll take any bowl game. We could play The School of the Blind at the Comet Toilet Bowl Cleaner Bowl at 6am @ Arkansas City High School Stadium and I would be satisfied.

I still say the kids should get a chance to play anywhere else but home.  Yes, they normally are not tourists but at least for a bowl game, they get to go to a couple local events/activities.  With the Gasparilla Bowl, that's probably a trip to Busch Gardens and a maybe a morning at Clearwater Beach.  They've all "been there, done that".  If they do play at RayJay, I at least hope the swag is worth it.

That Marshall game was a game our fans didn't want to be in. We had come off 2 great seasons, we had lost 5 or 6 in a row, the team was falling apart. We had coaches fighting with players on the sidelines. No one was happy to be there. 

We won 1 FBS game in the last 3 years combined. Our fans should be happy to be there this time. That makes a huge difference. 

And 15,000 tickets sold for a Bowl game is awesome (I think we sold a lot less for that Marshall game). 

We have had bowl games where the sold number is 1500 or so. When we sell a small number, we take a financial hit.

It was during a work week but a night game. However the weather was terrible most of the day. Thankfully I got the club access and watched most of the monsoon game from inside lol. Charlie Strong kicked off tons of key players before that game too. He lost the team earlier that season I believe after the Houston game.

Exactly. They are still feeling the effects of blowing they 35-7 lead. May be tough for them to win another game the rest of the season.
