Either way, if we dominate the AAC and win an elusive CC we will get the same result. Just need to keep up the OOC schedule. Eventually, CAG will get us to a point where we win those. With a good OOC win and AAC CC we will be in good shape.

All that said, I'm still very cautious with my overall optimism.

The teams they replaced them with are nothing burgers outside of maybe UTSA. I am not sure how they would do if they did not have their head coach. You would have to refer to the Texas football guru @Friscobull on that one. I only started following them when Jeff SCott was losing and people said first year coaches during covid can't win and all that nonsense.

@Triple B fans not going to games because of the opponent(s) their team is playing isn't a new thing or any more exclusive to the Bulls than reporting attendance as tickets distributed.  It happens throughout college football

I do get that but, and here's my new buzz phrase, the old fashioned fan in me says it shouldn't matter who/how your team is playing, you go to support them. I do fully realize how antiquated that apparently is but ****, it still chaffs my ass when I hear it as an excuse.

I hear you.  I don't think this is entirely a new thing and I also personally don't believe you have to sit in the stadium to be a fan or support your team.   I think there are other factors that influenced that.  Now jumping on and off the bandwagon so to speak is a different thing in my book.

That’s probably the difference right there. You go as a sign of support where other people go to see a good competitive game or to see top talent. Some go to support, but also want to see a good game. Also many support with dollars, so it’s probably OK for them to want to see the best product possible.

Check out the crowd at UNT.  Visitor side looks way worse than us.  There can't be 8,000 people in that stadium.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
