So what do we think that crowd would have looked like if Houston stayed behind in the AAC and was playing say UNCC instead. Am I supposed to believe now that Houston actually made a mistake by going to the Big 12?

Houston's lighting looked kinda bad.  I hope we get some good lighting!

Oh this is attendance.  It also looked bad.

So conference/opponents matters?

Not so much. Your team has to be good AND play a good opponent.

No, because money cures everything. Except possibly attendance and the quality of your team.

Unless we make it to the P2, Thursday night games will look like that here ...

Shouldn't to real USF fans. THOSE conference/opponents will bring out the non-USF fans. Nice try, though ....

It certainly isn’t a guarantee for success, but it is easier to succeed with it than without.

I’d rather have Houston’s problems than USFs right now.

I'm a Pitsburgh Pirates fan.  If instead of playing major league teams, they were allowed to play minor league teams, don't you think.....nevermind, nobody goes to their games anyway.

It does matter who you play, virtue aside.

I guarantee the team I coached was a helluva lot more fun to watch when we played a great opponent....family came out for those games and these are their kids.  No one wants to see **** teams no matter how big a fan you claim to be, even many parents.  For you, it may not matter who we play, but "real" USF fans do consider the quality of the opposition.  And that's okay.

Plus Houston seems to have tons of other sports going on. Houston Astros now. I remember watching Astro games when they could barely draw flies. UH has always had an attendance program so I’m not surprised that the power conference didn’t help. However the big 12 is far from the SEC & BigTen. Texas & OU leaving makes big 12 a boring trash conference now

But joining a P conference insures our new OCS will be full for in conference games.

This is different, this is a commuter metro school with pro sports and other attractions, even has a playoff MLB team.  So as you can see this is apples and oranges.  Seriously though, trash school, trash city, trash attendance IMO, but a helluva finish last night.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
