That 10,000 for Rice seems high honestly.

I think the student section for the Bama game had more people than the rice game..

Either we stay in the aac in which case a 30k person stadium is at least 3x too large (after the first season) or we get out of this black hole of obscurity in which case it’s 50% too small, so where exactly did this random number come from?

I’m sure a lot of other universities have comparable or worse numbers, they just don’t report them like the tampa sports authority. They also don’t have an annoying reported like Joey.

No doubt, but how many of them are betting $350 million on their attendance?

Yikes...

So to compare:

FAMU “attendance” 36.5k (-14k difference)

Alabama “attendance” 65k (-17k difference)

Rice “attendance” 29k (-18.5k difference)

Glad we can dispose of those fake attendance numbers once and for all. Hopefully those who’ve been misled can reset their understanding of the situation at hand.

That Rice number is actually pretty shocking considering it was the week following a solid showing against Bama and  we have a base of 15k season ticket holders.
I’d have to imagine that winning will improve these number somewhat but these AAC scrubs may be more poison than even I thought.

If this conference is our future then throw up a couple of goal posts and some bleachers on Corbett and call it a day.

Outside of the top 50% of the P4/5 schools, this is the case for FBS attendance.  Always a huge discrepancy between distributed tickets and actual butts in seats that show up.  I would guess about 60% of STH show up on average, 70% of students who got tickets and 30-40% of those who got free/comp tickets for whatever reason.  Too lazy to search for any articles now on actual attendance rates across all schools (most don't have to report it like we do due to paying a per ticket fee to TSA/Bucs for ACTUAL attendance) but if anyone has anything, let's take a look.  After the first year, that's not going to change for an OCS.  STH will continue to buy seats, students will continue to claim seats and then have life get in the way.

Everybody uses fake attendance numbers. Nobody's misleading anybody ....

The AAC's not the poison. It's the "fans" who place more value on who USF is playing rather than USF itself .... and that could be key in keeping players and coaches.
