Absolutely! 1000%. Tear down the goal posts and toss them in the bay! Don't listen to this grump below.

Let the kids go crazy! Get outta here with that nonsense.

In response to your edit, I’m more often than not, not serious …… I sadly doubt the outcome this weekend will be storm the field worthy. However, we should storm the field after our second FBS win this year.

It appears we are in a conundrum , we need to get in a better conference to save the program but we can’t get into a better conference because we are awful and haven’t shown we are worthy of being in a better conference. We are meandering around in purgatory waiting on a shellacking this weekend and then a possible underdog role against Rice at home next weekend.  I really would table any conference talk until we actually beat an FBS team.  I am simply being realistic, we need to first display that we are worthy of being in the AAC before we pimp for a promotion.

The expected attendance for the Alabama game proves that Tampa will come out for USF games when we play opponents with popular appeal.

The American conference no longer features any of those.

We have GOT to get into a real conference. Everything changes immediately if we join the ACC or the Big Ten. Not convinced the Big 12 would really do that anymore with who are now members... maybe a couple of them would have a decent draw in Tampa but not the majority. Glad to see we're making good moves for our positioning, but really disheartening to see the ACC take CA teams over us.

It never really did, not ones with the popular appeal of a Bama, FSU, UF. The only one that really moved the needle a little was the dbags from Oveido and that was due to the "rivalry". Attendance will definitely improve in a PX conference but honestly it won't need to improve that much to fill up the ocs .... and winning should fill it up no matter what conference.

I don't know generally speaking; everything being equal, and us being at least an average team a game against Houston to the average fan is more exciting then a game against Rice or North Texas. Same thing with Cincy compared to Charlotte. It will be interesting to see how attendance compares this year for our home games against Rice, and Charlotte compared to home games in the past against Cincy and Houston.

Fact! The OCS would not hold the announced FAMU crowd of last week.

We shall see .... but my response was about teams with popular appeal, bringing big crowds in on their own merit. AAC never had that .... and the only ones I can really think of are in the P2 .... and ND.

Yep, that's why I don't think attendance will be a big problem in the ocs. Fun fact, in our first 2 years in the BE we had 7 home conf games. Only 2 would have sold out our new ocs ...

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
